Steven Fischer is group director of digital development at Bader Rutter. He has almost two decades of software development experience across various industries. Fischer has been writing code since the age of nine, and he still remains a hands-on developer — he has a knack for making complex technical topics understandable and comfortable. At BR, Fischer’s digital experience group (DEG) specializes in building mobile-first websites and sales enablement apps that provide first-class brand experiences. His team has experience with most major technology platforms and languages. The group’s sweet spot is working closely with the user experience and creative designers to make sure the brand’s dream is realized through technology.
Recently named a group leader at Bader Rutter, Brian Kohlmann has worked in the agency’s Target Activation Group as a senior architect for two years. Kohlmann provides strategic counsel regarding B2B and B2C audiences and channels. His expertise goes well beyond direct mail and email, spanning across all marketing channels. As a senior architect, Kohlmann worked closely with internal teams in digital and mobile, ensuring a collaborative approach to marketing campaigns. He’s played an integral part in the agency’s move toward marketing automation.
Lead Virtual Experience Developer
Michaell Bakalars is Lead Virtual Experience Developer at Sprout Concept. His main focus is on designing and building relevant and memorable digital experiences for Virtual Reality and other media. With a diverse background in 3D design, Storytelling, and Programming, Michaell has always had a drive to utilize technologies to communicate ideas in new and exciting ways. For over 10 years, Michaell has worked with Fortune 500 clients designing fixtures, environments, and interactive experiences to launch new products, elevate brand presence, and better connect with customers at retail and events. In 2009, he helped build a full room CAVE system which was used for rapid design visualization and research. Over the years he has built digital environment walkthroughs, Augmented Reality applications, and various on-screen digital interactives for mobile and PC. Most recently, he has been utilizing wearables such as the Oculus Rift, Google Cardboard, and the up-coming Microsoft Hololens to create fully immersive digital experiences and games.
Maya Bakalars is a Virtual Experience Developer at Sprout Concept. Her focus is on design, asset creation, and animation for digital experiences in Virtual Reality and other media. For over 10 years, Maya has worked in both the Retail and Event industries designing branded environments, fixtures, and experiential campaigns for Fortune 500 clients. Her emphasis has always been on telling a great story and has often sought unique technologies to communicate ideas in exciting ways. She is an expert in design visualization through animation and interactive media. In 2011, she started building virtual environments for a full room CAVE system. Since then she has designed and built content for Augmented Reality, various on-screen interactives, and most recently Virtual Reality games and experiences.
