“[This partnership] will allow us to further advance the business-to-business (B2B) marketing profession and the expertise of our members,” said Steve Liguori, chairman of BMA’s national board of directors, in a message to members.
“We’ve seen the ANA’s tremendous growth in membership, revenue, engagement, quality and member satisfaction over the last five years, and believe that its expertise, infrastructure and support staff can help BMA do the same.”
With more than 2,500 members nationwide in 17 chapters, BMA is the largest B2B marketing association in the U.S. The ANA’s 630 member company roster includes 160 B2B companies, representing approximately 12,000 marketers.
“We look forward to welcoming the ANA’s B2B marketer members to the BMA Milwaukee chapter,” said Andrea Hubbert, president of BMA Milwaukee. “As a result of this merger, the Milwaukee chapter — the oldest and one of the largest in the U.S. — will be able to deliver increased value to members, including advancements in infrastructure, intellectual capital and resources.”

The benefits of BMA’s B2B-specific focus, plus its local chapters and regional events, will allow the ANA to continue to grow. For the first time, agencies and vendors will also have access to the ANA member structure.
The acquisition, approved unanimously by the ANA and the national BMA board of directors, was announced at the ANA’s Masters of Marketing Conference in Orlando on Oct. 17.
